Harriet Tubman, resident of Auburn, New York, for the final 54 years of her life, will be celebrated on what historians now agree is the 200th anniversary of her birth.
Join the City of Auburn, Equal Rights Heritage Center (ERHC), and Harriet Tubman National Historical Park for the Harriet Tubman Bicentennial Birthday Ceremony on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11AM.
All are welcome to attend in-person at the ERHC, or tune in virtually via live-stream here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3b0zRDzWmY
The program will feature proclamation presentations and guest speaker GirlTrek Co-Founder Vanessa Garrison. On display at the ERHC will be hundreds of Tubman birthday cards made by local and national students—you can leave your own birthday wishes, too!
This Saturday's Harriet Tubman Bicentennial Birthday Ceremony will feature custom cookies by Crave Dessert Studio and Caiken Baked Goods, plus complimentary cups of Bold & Gritty's Legacy Coffee at the Taste NY Market.
